4-Hour CIT Refresher Training *FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT ONLY* AM

  • Introduction: Refresher training to provide updated information to current CIT Officers in Cuyahoga County on engaging people in crisis.

4-hour IN-PERSON Training

The Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board of Cuyahoga County is offering virtual Refresher CIT Training to provide updated information to Law Enforcement Officers in Cuyahoga County on engaging and communicating with people in crisis.

As part of the ADAMHS Board's initiative to expand Officer training in the county, each department will receive reimbursement in the amount of $75 per officer to help remove financial barriers to training. Upon completion of the training, officers will receive a certificate of attendance.

The training will cover: Officer Trauma Awareness, Use of the Emergency Certificate (i.e. Pink Slip), Overview of the new Cuyahoga County Diversion Center, community resources, and legal issues involving crisis, mental health and special populations. This class is approved for two hours of CPT Credit from OPOTA. Register here.
