DESCRIPTION:<p>*<strong>For Law Enforcement Only</strong></p><p><strong>*** Please Register ONLY 4 officers from your department per each training session***</strong></p><p><strong>ALSO NOTE: CLASSES WILL BE HELD AT TRI-C, WESTERN CAMPUS, 7029 Homewood Ave., Parma, OH 44130 in the Public Safety Training Center, ROOM 212</strong></p><p>The Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board of Cuyahoga County is offering Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Training <strong>M</strong><strong>onday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. </strong>and will provide updated information to officers <strong>in Cuyahoga County</strong> on engaging and communicating with people in crisis.</p><p>As part of the ADAMHS Board's initiative to expand CIT training in the county, each police department will receive reimbursement in the amount of <strong>$150 per officer, per day </strong>to help remove financial barriers to training. Officers must complete the full 40-hour training for their department to receive reimbursement. Upon completion of the training, officers will receive a certificate of attendance.</p><p>The training will cover: Review of Mental Illness &amp; Substance Use Disorder, Use of the Emergency Certificate (i.e. Pink Slip), Overview of the Cuyahoga County Diversion Center, De-escalation strategies, Scenario Based Activities, and much more. <a href="https://www.eventbrite.com/e/40-hour-cit-training-for-law-enforcement-only-tickets-1897866432589?aff=oddtdtcreator" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Register here</a>.</p>
