The LOSS (Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors) Team is a group of trained volunteers, many of whom are themselves survivors of suicide loss, who provide immediate and ongoing support to individuals and families in the aftermath of a suicide.
They help by:
- Offering caring support in-person in the hours following a loss
- Providing follow-up contact to offer continued connection and support
- Sharing information on local and national resources
- Hosting a free survivors-of-suicide-loss support group twice monthly
- Providing education about postvention and suicide loss to the community
