Roads to Recovery '26 Call for Proposals (1200 x 240 px)

Roads to Recovery 2026 is on Monday, October 26. This year’s conference reflects the ADAMHS Board’s ongoing commitment to supporting a recovery-oriented system of care that provides services that are diverse, inclusive and reflect the uniqueness of individuals living with mental illness, substance use disorders and other addictions. The event equips professionals, family members and clients with the tools and knowledge needed to create a more supportive recovery community.

We are currently seeking proposals for presentations, workshops and panel discussions. We invite proposals from professionals, advocates, educators and individuals with lived experience to present on innovative, evidence-based, and community-centered approaches to behavioral health. Sessions may address practice, policy, systems change, workforce development, prevention, or recovery supports. Presenters should select one primary track and may identify a secondary track where applicable.

Presenters will be selected based on the following criteria:

  • Relevance to Theme: How well the proposal aligns with the conference theme and key topic(s).
  • Innovation: The originality and creativity of the proposed session.
  • Practical Application: The applicability of the ideas and strategies presented to other segments of the community.
  • Engagement: The potential to engage and inspire the audience.
  • Speaker Expertise: The speaker's experience and knowledge of the subject area.

The following information is required for all proposal submissions:

  • Title: A concise and engaging title for the session (limit to 60 characters)
  • Description: Detailed description of the session, highlighting key points and takeaways.
  • Targeted Level of Learning: Open, Entry, Intermediate, Advanced
  • Agenda: A bullet-point topic outline of the full presentation with estimated times spent in each area, including who is presenting each section. Please include any activities you intend to utilize.
  • Learning Objectives: Three to four clearly defined objectives attendees will gain from the session.  Please refer to the list of Operational/Behavioral Objectives accepted by the Ohio Counselor and Social Work Board and write outcomes/objectives accordingly.
  • Presenter Information:
    • Resume (required for each speaker for continuing education purposes) 
      • Include name, mailing address, day and evening phone numbers, email, degrees, professional license numbers, expiration dates, and states where they are valid
    • Biography (for marketing purposes)
    • High-resolution headshot
  • Bibliography: Provide a minimum of 5 resources used to research the topic and/or for further reading by the attendee. Please do not include more than one source authored by the presenter. Please submit it in correct bibliographic format.

Submission Deadline: All proposals must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Friday, April 3, 2026.

Selected speakers will be notified by Friday, May 1, 2026.
