Kellie Portman is an experienced trainer, coach, and advocate with more than 30 years of service in Ohio’s Child Welfare and Juvenile Justice Systems. Currently serving as Associate Director with the National Organization for Victim Advocacy (NOVA), she oversees the community crisis response training program while also leading her own coaching and training practice, Thinking Before Sinking LLC. Known for her engaging, “boots on the ground” approach, Kellie combines professional expertise and lived experience to help individuals and organizations create meaningful growth and lasting change. An author, Certified Life Coach, and adoptive parent, she is passionate about empowering others through practical strategies, humor, and heart-centered guidance.

Dr. Nicole Labor is a board-certified physician in Family and Addiction Medicine who has built her career around advancing the treatment of addiction through clinical leadership, education, and advocacy. She serves as Medical Director for multiple treatment organizations, overseeing substance use and behavioral health programs, while also providing direct patient care. In addition to her clinical work, she co-founded the addiction medicine fellowship at Summa Health, serves on the board of the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM), and is widely recognized for her efforts to educate professionals and communities about addiction and reducing stigma. She is also a best-selling author whose work promotes science-based understanding of recovery.
